It all started in
March 2020
When the COVID-19 pandemic shut most things down, Rob Ranson was the managing director of a team of healthcare professionals. He couldn’t sleep at night knowing the surgeons and front-line medical staff, including his daughter, an X-Ray technician, were at risk because the available personal protective equipment wasn’t protecting them against an airborne virus like COVID-19.
Within three days, Rob developed a working prototype of the C-Shield. He took it into the hospital where he worked and the staff asked for shields of their own. Five weeks later he had orders for millions of them. Win-Shield Devices was created.
We’ve been really busy. . .
Following our launch of the C-Shield, we have now delivered over 4 million Health Canada approved devices. We have been quietly developing a product assortment of over 20 new devices that will function as core components of an integrated ecosystem. These devices will start coming to the market in early 2025.
In addition, after a nationwide search and competition, we were the only company in Canada to be awarded a contract with the Canadian government to develop a “breakthrough device” for federal law enforcement agencies.
This is just the beginning of our story.

We are proud to be members of North Forge’s Fabrication Lab. North America’s largest rapid prototyping facility gives us access to over $4 million worth of equipment and tools.
