Manufacturing Technologist

The Role
This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of manufacturing technologies, from CNC machining and additive manufacturing to silicone molding and production line development. No two days will look quite the same. On Monday you might be programming, setting up and running a CNC machine, on Tuesday creating silicone molds, and on Wednesday designing fixtures for a new assembly line. You'll work closely with our engineering team to transform designs into functional parts and help develop the manufacturing processes needed to bring our products to market. If you're a recent graduate who's eager to learn, solve problems, and see the results of your work firsthand, this could be a great fit.
Requested Qualifications
Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Technology (Red River College Polytechnic or equivalent), or a related technology or machining program. Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Hands-on CNC milling experience: G-code fundamentals, CAM programming, work offsets, tool setting, and safe machine operation
Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 preferred)
Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T
Experience with 3D printing in any form (FDM, SLS, SLA preferred)
Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn new manufacturing techniques
Clear communication and willingness to ask questions early
Haas control experience, 4th-axis rotary machining
Knowledge of mold making, RTV silicone, or urethane casting
Experience designing or fabricating fixtures, jigs, and production tooling
Exposure to quality systems (ISO 9001), lean manufacturing, or process documentation
Key Responsibilities
CNC machining
Program, set up, and run our Haas VF-4SS vertical machining centre in 3-axis and 4-axis configurations
Produce and inspect production parts
Design and machine jigs, fixtures, and tooling for our own production and assembly
Turn around one-off and low-volume prototype parts quickly for the engineering team
Additive manufacturing
Run FDM, SLS, and SLA 3D printing systems
Prepare builds, choose materials and settings, and handle post-processing
Casting and prototyping
Make RTV silicone molds and cast urethane parts for prototypes and short production runs
Production systems
Work alongside our engineers to develop manufacturing processes for new products
Help design and set up workstations, assembly fixtures, and quality checks
Document processes so they can be repeated reliably
Pitch in wherever the shop needs it, including testing support and equipment setup

The Role
Win-Shield Devices is seeking a highly driven, hands-on Test Engineer to help establish and execute the testing and validation processes for a new line of products. You will be responsible for planning, performing and documenting tests, sourcing and validating test equipment, as well as building the jigs and fixtures required to test everything from low volume prototypes to final production parts.
Requested Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a degree in a similar field or equivalent experience.
1+ years working on testing, product validation or quality assurance.
Experience with 3D CAD (Fusion 360, Solidworks, etc.)
Experience with drafting engineering drawings.
Strong understanding of test methodologies, data acquisition, and product validation.
Hands-on experience working with hand/power tools and mechanical testing equipment.
Familiarity with creating structured testing documentation (test plans, protocols, reports) and test method qualification.
Preferred Skills
Experience with relevant testing standards for PPE, medical, or defense products (e.g. ASTM, CSA).

Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive testing documentation within a regulated Quality Management System (QMS) including authoring test protocols and detailed test reports.
Conduct physical testing and evaluation of initial low-volume prototypes.
Utilize 3D CAD to design, test, and fabricate custom test fixtures and R&D jigs for evaluating initial prototypes, eventually scaling these designs for standardized production testing.

The Role

The Role

The Role
The Quality Engineer will work as a liaison between the Quality and Engineering departments developing, implementing, and continuously improving quality standards and inspection criteria to ensure product and process integrity throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. Requested Qualifications

Win-Shield Devices is seeking a highly skilled Product Designer with strong expertise in design for manufacturing (DFM), particularly for thermoplastic injection molding. This role includes ownership of components and assemblies from concept through production, with a focus on ensuring designs are manufacturable, robust, and ready for scale.
Requested Qualifications
5+ years of relevant industry experience in mechanical or product design.
Expert-level 3D modeling skills, preferably in Fusion 360 or Solid Works.
Proven experience with designing parts for thermoplastic injection molding.
Strong understanding of manufacturing fundamentals, including tolerancing, assembly methods, draft angles, ribs/bosses, shrinkage, and mold design considerations.
Experience taking products from prototype to production—preferably in mechanical, consumer, defense, medical, or industrial hardware.
